Skate & Shoot

Skate and Shoot sessions are open ice sessions where all hockey players have the opportunity to practice their game and hone their skills.  These sessions are great for improving the mechanics of skating, shooting, stick handling, and even passing (with the help of a buddy or two on the ice!). GOALIES are always FREE at these events. 

 

Figure Skating

At RiverWorks we like to think we have a more sensitive side to compliment some of the “contact” sports we offer, and there is nothing wrong with that. There are few sports in the world with that require more elegance and above all extreme athletic ability. RiverWorks is fully equipped to host any type of figure skating event. 

 

Open Ice Skate

Bring your family and friends out for an open skate session at Buffalo RiverWorks. Enjoy a fun and relaxing time skating on our covered outdoor ice rinks. It is mandatory to have a signed waiver before participating in Open Skate, Curling, and/or any sporting activity at RiverWorks.

 

MMA & Fitness Training

Buffalo United is a positive cultured martial arts Academy located in the heart of Downtown Buffalo offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA and Fitness classes!

 

Ropes Course

Urban High Ropes Course: Test your fear of heights with our two level urban high ropes course! If you conquer the first level then head up to the top course and zip line to the finish! Rain or shine, the ropes course is available every day. Activity lasts approx. 1 HR.Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. For same day availabilities please call the pro-shop as we may be able to fit you in. All participants must be at least 7 years of age and 42” tall to participate. Lower course passes are $20, with an additional $10 to try the upper course which includes a zipline! Upper course passes can be purchased on site the day of your adventure. **Remember – A nervous climber on the ground may become a panicked climber in the air! Refunds will not be given for participants who do not complete the course. ROPES COURSE IS OUTDOORS, DRESS ACCORDINGLY

 

Roller Derby

All Queen City Roller Girls (QCRG) home games are played at Buffalo RiverWorks, a multi-purpose venue.  QCRG is very excited to be partnering with Buffalo RiverWorks to offer a best in class experience to our fans across Western New York.
